Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of CodeShare (Pastes) websites, apps, APIs, and related services operated by Reversal. By creating an account, signing in (including with Google), or using the service, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Agreement
By accessing https://pastes.reversal.org/ or creating an account, you enter a binding agreement with Reversal ("we", "us") for the CodeShare service. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including Google sign-in.
- You must meet the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction (and be at least 13).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create security risk.
3. The service
CodeShare lets you create, store, browse, and share text and code pastes (public, unlisted, or private). Features, limits, and URLs may change as the product evolves. Raw paste URLs may expose content to anyone who has the link.
4. Your content
- You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us a license to host, process, display, cache, and transmit it as needed to run the service.
- Public pastes may appear in browse, search, trending, and similar listings. Unlisted and private pastes are still stored on our systems.
- Do not post unlawful, infringing, hateful, deceptive, or abusive content. Do not upload malware, secrets you are not allowed to share, or content that exploits minors.
- We may remove pastes or accounts that violate law or these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Probe, scan, or reverse engineer systems except as allowed by interfaces we publish;
- Bypass authentication, rate limits, or access controls;
- Spam, phish, scrape at abusive volume, or conduct fraud;
- Misuse Google or other third-party sign-in in ways that violate their terms;
- Use the service for illegal markets or to harm others.
6. Third-party services
Google sign-in and hosting providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or data handling outside our control.
7. Intellectual property
The CodeShare name, logos, software, and design are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, resell, or brand-misuse our materials without written permission. Feedback you send may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, that pastes will be stored forever, or that public listings will remain available.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REVERSAL AND ITS AFFILIATES ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IN ANY 12-MONTH PERIOD IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD OR (B) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your pastes, misuse of the service, or violation of these Terms or law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for ToS violations, legal risk, or extended inactivity. Provisions that by nature should survive (IP, liability limits, indemnity) continue after termination.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a revised effective date. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
13. Governing law
Except where mandatory local consumer law prevails, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
